Terms of use

These terms set out how you may use the Cumato website and place orders for our preserve products and related services. By using this site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to the conditions below.

Website Access and Acceptable Use

This website is operated for Cumato by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd on behalf of the business in Paarl, Western Cape. You may browse the site, submit an enquiry form, and place orders for products or services where available, subject to these terms and to any written confirmation we provide.

You must use the site lawfully and in a manner that does not interfere with normal operation. Do not attempt unauthorised access, copy content for commercial use without permission, or use the site to submit false, incomplete, or misleading information. We may suspend or refuse access where we believe these terms have been breached.

Product Information, Availability and Orders

Cumato offers sun-dried tomato and pickle preserves, gift boxes, custom hampers, event favours, corporate gifting, bulk orders, seasonal orders, subscription boxes, wedding orders, hospitality supply, and stockist enquiries. Product descriptions, pack sizes, and pricing may change from time to time depending on ingredient availability and production planning.

All orders are subject to acceptance. An order is only confirmed once we have reviewed stock, packing requirements, delivery area, and payment status where applicable. We may decline or limit any order at our discretion, including where courier capacity, packaging requirements, or supply constraints make fulfilment impractical.

  • Prices are shown in Rand unless stated otherwise.
  • Product images are for reference and may vary slightly from the final packed item.
  • Special orders and large quantities may require lead time.

Delivery Across South Africa

We deliver by courier across South Africa, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Gqeberha, Paarl, Stellenbosch, and Somerset West. Delivery dates are estimates only and may be affected by courier delays, public holidays, weather, load-shedding, or road disruptions. We will do our best to keep you updated if a parcel is delayed.

Risk in the goods passes to you when the parcel is handed to the courier or collected, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Please check your order on arrival and report any damage or shortage within a reasonable time so we can review the matter with the courier and the packing team.

  • Make sure the delivery address is complete and accessible.
  • Provide a contact number for courier coordination where requested.
  • We are not responsible for failed delivery caused by incorrect address details or missed courier attempts.

Payments, Cancellations and Refunds

Payment terms may vary by order type. Some orders require full payment before dispatch, while larger or custom orders may require a deposit. We will confirm the applicable payment arrangement before processing. If payment is not received on time, we may delay packing or cancel the order.

Cancellations must be requested through the enquiry form on our contact page and are only effective once confirmed by us. Custom hampers, corporate gifts, wedding orders, and special production runs may not be cancellable once ingredients have been allocated or packing has started. Where a refund is approved, it will be processed in the same or a reasonable alternative method, less any applicable charges incurred.

Intellectual Property and Content Use

All text, product descriptions, photographs, layouts, logos, and other content on this website belong to Cumato or are used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, or adapt any part of the site for commercial use without prior written consent.

You may print or save a copy of pages for personal reference connected to an enquiry or order. Any unauthorised use of our content may result in legal action or the withdrawal of access to the site.

  • No scraping or automated copying of product content.
  • No use of our materials in misleading adverts or listings.
  • No alteration of images or wording to imply approval where none exists.

Liability, Governing Law and Contact

We take care to present accurate information, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely free of inaccuracies. To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, or delays caused by matters beyond our reasonable control, including courier breakdowns, supply interruptions, or technical faults.

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will still apply. For order queries, stockist enquiries, and general assistance, please use the enquiry form on our contact page so that the right team member can respond.
